Here we have gathered, called to celebrate,

the days of our lifetimes,
matters small and great.
The members of Mountain Light, welcome you as you are:
-- In your "Sunday Best" or in shorts and a t-shirt.
-- Without preconceptions about who you are because of your gender, age, ability, or sexual orientation.
-- With no concern about where you have come from, or where you are headed, on your spiritual journey.

We gather every Sunday at the Gilmer Arts and Heritage building, 207 Dalton Street in Ellijay, Georgia. Please click on the Directions link on the left for specifics and a map.

Coffee and conversation start at 10am, with services at 10:30. Scroll down for information about this week's presentation, or click on the Sunday Services link to the left to see what's happening for the next four weeks.

Zen Meditation Instruction and Practice
Mountain Light offers a Zen Meditation class and practice on Sundays from 9:30-10:00 am. It is led by a Zen Buddhist trainer and open to anyone who is interested in learning this form of meditation. Please arrive on time.
 Sunday Service
  September 12, 2010  10:30 AM
This Sunday, Rev. Heather Collins will be our guest minister.

Included in this week's service will be Ingathering (welcoming members and friends back after summer sojurns), welcoming new members to the MLUUC congregation, and the traditional UU Water Ceremony.

Rev. Collins' sermon, 'Be Like Water,' will be based on chapter 8 of the Tao-te ching in which the qualities of water are praised, and we humans are encouraged by Lao Tze to adopt similar attributes. What attributes, you may wonder. Come and find out, welcome the new church year, and celebrate new members of the MLUUC community.
