Without Religion" - both the book and his organization
Pranayama.org can be visited by clicking here.
We've still
got a few copies of the book at MLUUC if anyone would like to purchase
a copy via us.

Recently,
James Leitess introduced to me a website which I found interesting.
We both considered that other members and friends of Mountain Light
may be interested.
Mediachest,
created by the University of Georgia, allows users to catalogue
books, CDs, DVDs, and games they wish to make available for lending.
People of common interests can create lending groups on the site.
I have created the group MLUUC to facilitate a Mountain Light virtual
library. Both James and I have listed books, and encourage you to
look and see if you would like to join in the experiment. You can
choose who to lend to on a case by case basis. To check it out,
direct your browser to www.Mediachest.com.
Look for MLUUC under "groups."

The
mission of the UUA 7th Principle Project is to facilitate and support
the work of Unitarian Universalists by affirming and promoting the
Seventh Principle of the UUA, "Respect for the interdependent
web of all existence of which we are a part."
Our members believe that the Earth is in peril from human activities,
and for us as people of faith, this is a moral and spiritual crisis
of utmost importance.

Ralph
Waldo Emerson
"None
of us will ever accomplish anything excellent or commanding except
when he listens to this whisper which is heard by him alone. Nothing
is at last sacred but the integrity of your own mind. The days come
and go like muffled and veiled figures sent from a distant friendly
party, but they say nothing, and if we do not use the gifts they
bring, they carry them as silently away."

who was also a Unitarian Minister.

Unitarianism
comes in many flavors!
This
month, explore the unique heritage of the Hungarian
Unitarian Church.
The
founder and first bishop of the Unitarian Church in Transylvania
was Francis David (Dávid Ferenc), who lived between 1510-1579. From
1565 he started to preach in Unitarian spirit, starting a new branch
of the reformation.
Between
6-13th January 1568, the Diet of Torda proclaimed religious freedom
and tolerance to everybody. "In every place the preachers shall
preach and explain the Gospel, each according to his understanding
of it, and if the congregation like it, ok; if not, no one shall
compell them..."
It's
hard for us to imagine now, but at the time this was quite an unheard
of concept in an era when for most churches the most effective tool
for growth was the tip of a sword.

A while back
we had the pleasure of a service with Chipa Wolf which left a lot
of us thinking more about native peoples and cultures around the
world.
Cultural
Survival is a great way to keep up with a lot of these people
and the issues they face.
They "promote
the rights, voices and visions of indigenous peoples" with
a great internet site cs.org
