The Seven Principles of Unitarian Universalism

Unitarian Universalists have no creeds or dogmas. They are guided by the Seven Principles which bind members and churches together. These principles are as follows:

• A belief in the inherent worth and dignity of every person;
• Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
• Acceptance of one another and Encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;
•The right of conscience and use of the democratic process in our congregations and society at large.

•A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
•The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;
•Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

We've created a flash presentation that displays these principles. It will open in another browser and repeat for as long as you like. This is a nearly effortless way to learn and begin to think along the lines of these 7 principles.

Although many newer computers come with flash already installed, you can find out if you have it by trying to open the presentation.

If you don't have flash installed on your computer, it's free! You can easily download and install if from this site.

Another window will open for this link so you'll have this page still open once you've downloaded your free flash player.

If you do have flash, clicking below will open another browser which plays the 7 principles in a looped sequence. When you want it to stop, simply cancel the browser to close it.
